HI-TECH was founded in Hawaii in 1983. In parallel with the
development of its core software business, HI-TECH also started a computer rental business
that became the largest computer rental company in the State of Hawaii. The computer
rental business was sold in 1991 in order to enable the principals of HI-TECH to
concentrate fully on the expansion and growth of HI-TECH's core business, software for the
self-storage industry. With the computer rental business sold, the company moved from its
offices in downtown Honolulu to the small town of Kailua.
Today, HI-TECH has its primary offices in
Peachtree City, Georgia.
HI-TECH has grown significantly year after year and is considered
the leader in the self-storage software industry. Besides software, HI-Tech provides
technical support services, Internet web-site services, computer and business form sales,
newsletters, education seminars, credit card processing, and computer hardware equipment.
