Reports and Graphs RentPlus includes a full set of reports and graphs for self-storage, including reports on customers, contracts, units, receipts, and marketing information. Reports are included that measure occupancy, receivables, pre-payments, deposits and other important indicators. Reports may be sent to the screen or to the printer, faxed or e-mailed, or exported to Microsoft Word™ or Microsoft Excel™ for detailed analysis.
Accounting RentPlus provides full dual entry accounting and simultaneous accrual and cash-basis accounting. RentPlus is the only self-storage software with complete, integrated accounting. RentPlus expense-side accounting provides check writing that is fully integrated into the RentPlus system. The multi-level general ledger may be customized to meet your accounting needs.Inventory RentPlus also gives you complete inventory management, including sales orders and purchase orders. Inventory features include an unlimited number of products and services and an unlimited number of charge categories. Inventory sales are fully integrated into the system including full general ledger accounting of inventory and costs of sales. Multiple price levels are supported and a variety of inventory reports help you maintain proper inventory levels and maximize profits from ancillary sales.Database Features RentPlus uses the Microsoft Jet™ relational database engine to store data. Microsoft Jet is the best-selling database for small business on the market today, and with good reason. RentPlus uses the database to provide these powerful features:Transaction Processing gives you the security of knowing that no data will be written unless all of the data can be successfully written. This avoids data problems that could occur in the middle of a posting process, such as a power outage. Data Encryption means that the data in RentPlus cannot be viewed outside of RentPlus by a program that could potentially modify or remove your data. Data Security is provided through the use of Users and Permissions: users are required to log in and the user's login ID determines what modules may be accessed. Third-Party Integration HI-TECH has always worked closely with vendors of complementary products to provide seamless integration with third-party products and this continues with RentPlus. RentPlus is designed to integrate with security systems, to provide credit card processing, to support multiple printers, and to accept images created with scanners, digital cameras, and video capture devices. As a part of its integration with security systems, RentPlus supports the use of gate keypads and individual door alarms. Looks and Works Like Windows The RentPlus user interface is immediately familiar to anyone who has used Microsoft Windows. RentPlus uses the standard Windows controls, with the additional look and feel of Microsoft Office™, including command bars, control tips, combo boxes, wizards, and property sheets. RentPlus Explorer At the heart of the RentPlus user interface is the RentPlus Explorer, which gives the operator a view of their data similar to the Windows Explorer. Information is arranged in logical folders shown on the left side of the Explorer: customers, units, receipts, prospects, products, etc. Open a folder and the items within that folder are displayed on the right side of the Explorer. Select any item within a folder to "open" that item for additional detail or processing. Like the Windows Explorer, the RentPlus Explorer gives you multiple views: large and small icons, details and the RentPlus Map.
On-Screen Help RentPlus has extensive help available simply by pressing the F1 key. Help is displayed about whatever is currently shown on screen. The Help has a table of contents and glossary, and is fully indexed and searchable.Wizards and Property Sheets RentPlus uses Wizards to help you enter new information. A Wizard takes you step-by-step through a process, such as moving in a new tenant, doing a move-out, taking a payment, or adding prospects or suppliers.Property Sheets show information about an item such as a unit or customer, organized logically using tabs to provide a simple method for changing and viewing information already stored in the system.
