This demonstration uses the Microsoft Terminal Services Advanced Client ActiveX control. If you do not have this control installed, you will be prompted to allow it to be installed, which you must do to use the demonstration. Click Yes if prompted to install this control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Will this demonstration work on all computers?

A. No, only Windows-based systems will be able to run the demonstration. Also early Windows versions (3.1, 95, 98) may not be able to run this demonstration.

Q. Why do I only have a blank screen?

A. This usually means that the ActiveX control was not installed. Try refreshing the page (press F5) - if prompted, make sure you click Yes to allow the Microsoft Desktop Web Connection ActiveX control to be installed. More information about this ActiveX including downloading, installing, and trouble-shooting.

Q. I can only see part of the RentPlus screen in the browser window. What should I do?

A. This will happen if your screen resolution is fairly low. If this is the case, then the best way to view the demonstration is in Full-Screen mode. Go back to the RentPlus 2.0 OnLine Demonstration page and click the Full-Screen link.

Q. When I used my browser's "Back" button, the demo restarted. Is this normal?

A. Yes, it is. The browser's back button takes you to the previous web page, which was the page that started the demo. One way to avoid accidentally pressing the back button is to work in full-screen mode.

Q. I am getting a window that says "Connect to existing Remote Desktop" and lists several choices. What should I do?

A. This may occur if you go back and forth into and out of the demonstration very quickly. From the list of choices, select the one with the most recent disconnect time, or close the browser window and then restart it.

Q. Is this online demonstration the same as the RentPlus I would be using?
