What's new in version 1.6?

New Features

New menu and toolbar choices

·         File menu: Backup

·         Runs the Backup wizard

·         File menu: Restore

·         Runs the Restore Data from Backup wizard

·         View menu: Show/Hide Inactive items

·         Will toggle the status of the current folder to show or hide the inactive records

·         Tools menu: Close Accounting Period

·          Prompts user to select a date as the closed accounting period date. No accounting entries are subsequently allowed if their journal date is less than (or equal to) this date.

·         Toolbar icon: End-of-Day

·         Runs automatic reports (see below)

·         Runs the backup wizard

·         Run from the RentPlus Explorer File Menu

·         Creates an archive copy on your hard disk

·         The current company name is displayed in the Title bar when the RentPlus Explorer is displayed

·         Helps multiple-database users identify the current database

·         Larger Image View 

·         When viewing the thumbnail images in the personal property sheet, you can now click the Open Image button to view a larger version of the unit. The image will be displayed with the default Windows viewer for that type of file.

·         Vacant Listing by Size report update 

·         The number of days a unit has been vacant has been added to the report

·         New settings in the Options property sheet

·         Charge/don't charge an administration fee for unit transfers

·         New late charge settings

·         Option to match California Late Law effective 1/1/2001

·         Set a maximum late charge amount when using a percentage method

·         Bank Deposit: Allow Exclude

·         If not allowed, operator cannot exclude selected payments from the bank deposit

Bugs fixed in v1.6

These are bugs that were in earlier versions but have been fixed in v1.6

·         Move-in not allowed on the same day as move-out for same unit

·         Balance forward incorrectly displayed in statement

·         Credit card authorization displays incorrect rent amount without tax

·         If void a charge or apply a credit brings an account up to date, unit is not unsuspended

·         Accounts incorrectly marked suspended after running Action Processor report using a future date

·         Incorrect receipt data when receipts are printed from the automatic credit card processing queue screen

·         Multiple line addresses incorrectly formatted for printing in mailing labels

·         Payments received report detail screen not showing correct unit number

·         Journal entry incorrectly allows negative amounts
